There was one part of the story where Gerald asked Mr. Washington for help, because everyone else was too afraid to ask for help. He came across Mr. Washington one day, and after a brief confession to Mr. Washington, with concern he says, "You were right to tell me, Gerald… Let's go get this stopped right now."

In this example of heroism, Gerald has the courage that nobody had in them to go out and get help. If it were not for Gerald, Mr. Washington would have never known about the situation and tried to correct it. Jordan would have looked like this!
