Ever since Gerald was a baby , Monique had been a cruel, horrible person to Gerald. She burnt his hand with flames, screamed at him, left him alone, hit him, and made his life far worse than if she hadn't been there. Despite this, after a surprise attack by Jordan, Gerald was really concerned about Monique's condition. He asked if she was all right, and if he should call the doctor.

In this example of heroism, Gerald shows his compassionate side. Although he could have easily looked over his maniacal mother's state, he tried to comfort her and get her the assistance she needed.
