Example Two:

In this scene we see Angel sitting on Jordan's lap. This seems like the end for Angel. But then Gerald sees them!

But no! Gerald is here to save the day again! Not only has he been brutaly beaten by his father before, but he is willing to beat again in order to save Angel from "the game".

Seeing Gerald didn't make Jordan happy, so he let her go... and then slapped Gerald right in the face. But Gerald still thought it was worth it.
